About Meadowbrook Healing Arts

Kim opened Meadowbrook Massage Therapy in 2010 with the goal of fostering wellness and healing by providing space for people to let their guards down and relax. In early 2023 Kim's hands became very painful and weak and she was unable to do her work. Even lifting a jar was painful and required her to use both hands. Not being able to do the work she is so passionate about made Kim reflect on what about her work is so meaningful to her. It brought into clarity that she loves inviting people into her space and helping them feel safe and relaxed enough to reconnect with their true selves. Kim knew she had some unique gifts in working with people that went beyond the physical work of massage and knew there was always a level of energy healing in all of her work. Reflecting on this, she realized this could be a means to continue the work that she does in a way that wouldn't require her hands to be strong, Kim started looking into different forms of energy work. Her husband, Pete, suggested Reiki. He didn't even know what it was, but had heard of it and thought it was worth looking into. Kim was intrigued. She signed up for her first Reiki class and was incredibly blessed to have her hands healed when she received her first attunement. Beyond that, Kim noticed a huge shift in her mental and emotional healing as well. She knew that this was something she absolutely wanted to share with her clients and immediately began gaining experience with her clients that were kind enough to let her practice on them. Since then Kim has added Reiki to her regular offerings in her office and is in the process of changing her business name to Meadowbrook Healing Arts to include this energy work. She is also teaching Reiki Classes, and leading special healing events for the community. Be sure to check out the Classes and Events page for more information! She practices self-Reiki daily and continues to find healing that she never thought possible through it. Because of this, it is important to her that she teaches Reiki to others, so that they to can help themselves and their families.   Kim is passionate about the healing power of touch and its link to the body, mind, and spirit. She finds peace and happiness in helping others to relax, rejuvenate and discover their self-healing strengths. She addresses the body, mind and spirit in each massage and Reiki session and supports her clients in finding their own relationship with these aspects of themselves. She has experienced the incredible healing powers of massage and energy work and has been blessed to witness the profound changes it has made in the lives of her clients.
